mustache party

Our really good friends Jay and Kayla, who we absolutely love, just moved into a really adorable loft in Ft.worth, TX. So we of course had a mustache loft warming party! It was a night filled with a silly photo shoot where everyone sported their stache, digging around their basement that use to be a bomb shelter for props like old windows and old doors, good food, laughter, and good music, and meeting new people! I love when you meet new people and you just connect with them instantly, it's pretty much my favorite thing! And it's no secret that me and Christopher love fake mustaches (and fake beards)! we just can't help it. I am in the middle of planning a surprise for him, but of course can't quite reveal it yet.

Oh, and p.s. photos taken by this rockin' chic Michaela.

crossed fingers

On Wednesday, me and Christopher went house hunting. and we have found the most little charming house, the landlord Greg is getting back with us on Sunday about whether he will let us rent or not. So if you think about us at all, say a little pray for us.

Our address would be 123 College, which I think is fitting since we are both going back to school! I am going  to finish my B.F.A and he is entering into a Post-Bach online degree to get his ESL teaching certificate, which has been a long time goal of his - so I am super excited and proud of him!

It has the most adorable back yard, with a gnome, a shed, and vines growing everywhere, it looks really magical. and I would love to host backyard dinners.

The bathroom has a claw foot tub. A CLAW FOOT TUB!! really, it does. and it's super cute and the floor has black and white tiles. retro adorable.

Greg, who would be our landlord is a librarian and brews his own beer. Love. both. of. those. things.

It comes with appliances! Fridge, Microwave, and washer/dryer combo!

It has wood floors.

Big kitchen with lots of cabinet space!

A sun room that opens from the master bedroom

And my personal favorite, it has a screened in front porch!

It's a two bedroom, one bath, it's on the smaller size, but I like that, it's very charming and cozy.

So fingers crossed. and prayers lifted high.

pumpkin village

a couple of weeks ago Christopher surprised me with tickets to the dallas arboretum! It's no shocker that I love surprises, and he is really good at surprising me. he is so romantic, sometimes I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world. so naturally i was excited, but when we pulled up and he announced that during the fall it has the largest pumpkin patch and has the only pumpkin village in the world, i was just giddy. man, he's good.
the arboretum was beautiful, it overlooked white rock lake and was acres of woodsy secrets that we got to explore, there was even a poetry garden! and it had all of these little pumpkin houses that you could go inside and sit and talk if you wanted to, all named after fairy tales like cinderella and the legend of sleepy hollow, it was so adorable. and there were pumpkins and gourds everywhere!! I really want to go back around Christmas time and see how they spice the place up, I can just imagine it with Christmas trees and lights everywhere! It is naturally a very beautiful place, I just love to see how the seasons have an effect on a place. i love date days with Christopher, he usually works nights and will have a random day off during the week, so we always try to make that day a little special! we ended the day by eating stuffing ourselves at karma cafe, this funky eclectic place with the best hummus i have ever had! mmm, it was so good, with a food coma to follow!

love,
meg
